Two people work on this site: one writes the guides, one owns the site and reviews the calculators. Here is exactly what each one checks before a page goes up.

StatsCalc does not credit a "research team" that does not exist. Marcus Vance writes the guide pages below, and Chris Terry owns the site and reviews the calculators. This page says plainly what each of them checks, and does not claim to be.

Why neither profile invents a credential

A calculator site can put an unverifiable "Ph.D. statistician" on a byline nobody with that background actually wrote. Neither Marcus's title nor Chris's claims that. If a page here ever carries a credentialed contributor's byline, that person will have genuinely written or reviewed it, and this section will name the credential so a reader can check it independently. Until then, the guides are written by someone whose credibility rests on rechecking the arithmetic, not on a degree, and the calculators are owned by someone who treats a wrong figure as a bug to fix rather than a detail to defend.

How to reach us

Spotted a formula that does not match a published source, or a worked example whose arithmetic does not add up? Use the contact form. Messages reach Chris directly, and a confirmed correction is dated on the page it appears on, not silently rewritten.

Want the formulas themselves? Read the editorial standards page for the exact method behind every calculator and guide on this site.
